Central Kentucky Ag Credit Continues Long-Time Support of Kentucky FFA Foundation
Gift will fund SAE Launch Grants, State FFA Convention for 2024
Central Kentucky Ag Credit will continue its long-standing support of youth in agriculture by once again renewing its commitment to Kentucky FFA Foundation programs. Their gift of $15,000 will support SAE Launch Grants and the Kentucky State FFA Convention, and makes them a four-star sponsor of the Kentucky FFA Foundation.
Central Kentucky Ag Credit helps farm families build legacies by facilitating funding for their enterprises. This makes them a natural fit to support the Kentucky FFA Foundation, since FFA is where many people first discover their passion for agriculture and entrepreneurship.
Nearly 7,000 Kentucky FFA members live in Central Kentucky Ag Credit’s 17-county service area. Their gift will fund 20 student SAE Launch Grants, giving recipients $500 each to start or expand their Supervised Agricultural Experience.
In addition, Central Kentucky Ag Credit’s sponsorship of a proficiency at the State FFA Convention helps Kentucky FFA deliver a tremendous leadership event to FFA members at a minimal cost to the students. Funding covers prize money for regional finalists in that proficiency as well as a trophy for the state winner, and a travel scholarship to the National FFA Convention if they qualify.
“Being a lender with a mission to serve agriculture, we have seen the benefits of FFA in so many of our employees and customers,” said Jonathan Noe, president and chief executive officer of Central Kentucky Ag Credit.
“There is no organization that better prepares young people for life and leadership than FFA. We are thankful that FFA is preparing the future leaders of our industry so effectively. Being a beneficiary of that, we feel it is our responsibility to give back so that many more young people can share that same experience.”
“Kentucky FFA is growing the next generation of agriculturalists that will change the world,” said Sheldon McKinney, executive director of the Kentucky FFA Foundation. “Our students are future farmers, customers, employees and community leaders. Central Kentucky Ag Credit’s support makes a difference for these students, their communities, and agricultural education across the Commonwealth.”
