Livestock Grant Applications Now Available

Posted November 9, 2016
Announcements

Applications for the Kentucky FFA Livestock Grant program are due December 1, 2016.  Applications must be postmarked by December 1 or emailed to matt.chaliff@education.ky.gov by December 1.

The Livestock Grant Program provides funds to help underclassmen purchase an animal to start or expand their SAE Program.  The program is open to any freshman or sophomore member who has not received a grant in the past.  Preference is given to students with financial need as indicated in the advisor’s statement, however, any student is welcome to apply.

Recipients will be notified of their selection by February 1.  After being notified of selection, recipients will need to purchase and animal and have that purchase verified by their FFA advisor.  The deadline for submitting verification of a purchase is June 1.

The FFA Livestock Grant Program is made possible by the FFA’s portion of the State Fair Sale of Champions.
