The Kentucky FFA Foundation Shark Tank Contest awards venture capital to aspiring agricultural entrepreneurs. Students are asked to develop a video showcasing their business idea & plan for a chance to win $5,000 in funding! This event is made possible from generous donations from Owensboro Grain & Give FFA Day.
We will award 114 full scholarships in the amount of $75 on a "first come, first serve" basis.
Please note that we are not requesting the name of the student at this time. However, you will have to give their name when you check in at camp. We will be following up with that student after camp to share photos/stories from their experience.
Chapters who receive scholarships will have the money credited to their Leadership Training Center account. No money will be sent to the chapter for the scholarship.
Students eligible to receive the scholarship must be an active FFA member and who are in their 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, or 11th grades of the current school year. Current seniors are not eligible.
The Kentucky FFA Foundation will be coordinating the FFA Jacket Program. This program is sponsored by Bayer, the Kentucky FFA Foundation and generous individual donors of the virtual Gala. We will be awarding one full jacket scholarship to one student per chapter. This opportunity is available twice a year once in Spring and again in the Fall.
Ag Achiever Grant - Application Closed
The Ag Achiever Grant is designed to help local Agricultural Education programs enhance learning opportunities for students. Enhancements may include but are not limited to the purchase of new equipment or teaching resources, modifications to existing equipment or facilities, implementation of innovative programming for students. Ag Programs may apply for up to $5000 for Ag Achiever Grants. Grant applications over $2500 require a dollar for dollar match.
Innovation in Agricultural Education Grant - Application Closed
The Innovation in Agriculture Education Grant is designed to help local Agricultural Education programs transform student instruction and outreach to the community. To be approved applications must demonstrate the proposed project will positively impact student achievement and the local agriculture economy. Ag Programs may apply up to $10,000 and at least 2 grants will be awarded. Applications do not require a match but preference will be given to applications that include additional local funds.
Washington Leadership Conference Scholarship - 2021 Conference Canceled
The Kentucky FFA Foundation and the Kentucky Alumni & Supporters Council are excited to partner together and award WLC Scholarships.
Please note that National FFA will release an update later this month on if WLC will actually take place this summer.
Applications can be submitted to me at firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline is February 1st and chapters who receive funding will be notified no later than February 26th.
Grants provided by the Mulhollem Cravens Foundation intended to help FFA Chapters develop a sustainable food production project that addresses food insecurity in their local community.
Rising Sun Initiative - Application Closed
Available to support the expansion of agricultural education and support those educators who dedicate their lives to teaching and advising. The Rising Sun would provide a one-time grant up to $5,000 to a school that opens an agricultural education program or a program in transition.
SAE Launch Grant - Application Closed
The Kentucky FFA Foundation is offering a NEW SAE Grant opportunity to your students. This grant will replace Ag Entrepreneurship Grants, Livestock Grants and SAE Mini Grants. If you have a student who has typically applied for one of those grants in the past this is now the one they will need to apply for.
