Rising Sun Conference Details Announced
The first ever Rising Sun Conference will be held September 18-19 at the Kentucky FFA Leadership Training Center in Hardinsburg. The objective of the conference is to build a strong, grassroots foundation among all chapters in the state by bringing representatives from all chapters together to discuss the issues and goals of the association.
Attendance is limited to two members per chapter. All regional FFA officers are encouraged to attend. Each chapter may send their regional officer and one other chapter officer. If a chapter does not have a regional officer, they can send two chapter officers.
Thanks to the generous support of the Kentucky FFA Foundation and PNC, the cost of the conference is only $5 per person if registered by July 20. For those registering July 21-August 30 the cost is $15. Cost includes breakfast on Saturday, a snack on Friday, and conference T-shirt. There is no charge for advisors attending unless they wish to purchase a shirt.

Discounted registration is available through mid-night July 20 for only $5 per person. Late registration is available July 22-August 30 for $15. No registrations can be accepted after August 30. During the Conference:
- Chapters and regions will work together to identify the resources and steps needed to meet their goals, including the support needed from the association.
- State officers will present sessions about the state goals, how the chapters are involved in those goals, tips for success, and methods to share those goals with the membership.
- Action plans will be developed for chapters, regions, and the association.
- This conference will also focus on allowing chapters to identify areas for growth as an association.
