Kentucky FFA is Hiring! Agriculture Education & Workforce Development Coordinator
The Kentucky FFA Foundation is seeking to hire a motivated and enthusiastic individual to promote, connect and elevate opportunities for Kentucky Ag Ed students in agriculture careers, including agricultural education.
The Agriculture Education & Workforce Development Coordinator would be responsible for the following:

Promoting Kentucky FFA Works to agricultural educators, students and employers. They would share the program, coach & encourage students to apply and serve as the connection between Kentucky FFA Works employers and our agriculture students.

Educating students and teachers about Kentucky FFA Works, ultimately leading to increased high quality applications.

Sharing the opportunity to join Kentucky FFA Works with potential industry partners.

Sorting applicants to curate the best matches for Kentucky FFA Works partners.

Telling the story and advocating for agricultural education as a part of Kentucky workforce needs, helping us build meaningful relationships that provide solutions.

Leading, building and promoting Kentucky Teach Ag efforts.

This includes building and maintaining a clear recruitment & communication pipeline for high school and college students who have indicated an interest in becoming an agricultural educator.

Plan and execute quality Teach Ag recruitment events for current FFA members.

Maintaining regular communication with undergraduate agricultural education majors including at least quarterly communications about the agricultural education profession and related opportunities.

Coordinate the Student Teacher Summit for current year student teachers.

Develop/curate/moderate an online forum for under-graduate agricultural education majors.

Coordinate work and budget of Teach Ag STAR Committee including managing Ag Ed Ambassadors.

Manage the Golden Owl Award and help recognize nominated teachers.

Build relationships with agricultural educators and agriculture industry leaders to help bridge the gap between workforce needs & students with interest.

Manage the Kentucky FFA Expo at State FFA Convention, making it more meaningful and engaging for industry partners, educators & students.

Help identify professional development opportunities beneficial to both parties.

Attend industry events such as but not limited to Kentucky Agriculture Council meetings to strengthen partnership with industry.

This role is a remote, salaried position with considerable travel in Kentucky. All mileage is reimbursed at the federal level, an office stipend, generous leave and flex time policies. Salary will be competitive and based on the candidates experience and qualifications.
Our ideal candidate would have a college degree in Agriculture Education or a related field. They would be an outgoing self-starter who enjoys connecting with people, building partnerships and moving the needle on a major need in Kentucky.
