Join Our Team as a Development Officer
The Kentucky FFA Foundation is building our team and searching for a full time Development Officer. Our ideal team member would be highly motivated, enjoys engaging with people, innovative, passionate about our mission and customer service. We are looking for a person who will bring new ideas, enthusiasm and professionalism to our mission of supporting Kentucky FFA. You must be a self starter, organized, excellent at time management and a supportive team player.
Our Development Officer will be responsible for:
- Engaging, stewarding and growing current Kentucky FFA donors
- Identifying, prospecting and soliciting new donors
- Managing our digital fundraising strategy and annual fund
- Event planning with a team for events like Kentucky FFA State Convention, Blue & Gold Gala, other events as assigned
The Development Officer will work remotely with travel all around Kentucky. Our ideal candidate would have a college degree in a field related to Agriculture, Marketing or Communications. Fundraising experience is great, but not required.
Salary and benefits are negotiable and based on experience.

What is the purpose of this job?
The Development Coordinator manages all aspects of the Kentucky FFA Foundation’s robust annual fund, event fundraising and fund development.
What are the top three things this job should spend the most time on?
- Donor Cultivation & Fundraising Programs - 50%

- Using the Kentucky FFA Foundation’s database, cultivate new donors and grow gifts from current donors through a variety of appeals and programs.
- This currently includes Give FFA Day, annual sponsorships of less than $5,000 and year end giving.
- Event Planning -25%

- The lead role in planning and fundraising for the Blue & Gold Gala.
- Other events that this role will have a part in include Kentucky FFA Foundation events at State Convention, board meetings, potentially regional fundraising events.

- Ability to communicate the impact of Kentucky FFA Foundation programs and be insightful about opportunities for growth & connection.
