State Horse Judging and Veterinary Science Career Development Events
Registration is due November 8
Horse Evaluation
This is a state event consisting of a 3- or 4-person team with only the top three scores counting for team score. No partial teams will be allowed to compete. All four team members are eligible for individual placings. There are two reasons' classes that are announced at the completion of all judging courses. Students should take notes on all classes. Students should wear long pants and closed-toe shoes as they will be near live horses.
Students should bring:
- clipboard (free of notes or marking) or judging notebook
- blank (no notes or markings of any kind) notebook paper
- 2 to 3 sharpened #2 pencils
Scan sheets will be provided for students to mark their placings, and judges will mark them with the reasons' scores. All scan sheets must be submitted at the end of the event before exiting the event area.
Further rules and class options are found at the Kentucky FFA Horse Evaluation CDE link.

Murray State Home Rodeo Attendance!
We would love to host you and your FFA members competing at our Thursday night performance of the Murray State Rodeo Team's Collegiate Home Rodeo! All we are asking is that you help us to raise non-perishable food items to donate to our local food banks. For each student and advisor wanting to watch some amazing Collegiate Rodeo action, we ask you to present, upon entry, three non-perishable food items per person. We will recognize all of the FFA members and advisors in attendance in the thirty minutes before the performance begins, so please plan to be in the William "Bill"Cherry Expo Center by 6:30 on Thursday, November 18! (For those chapters wanting to bring larger numbers to the Thursday performance, please note we will be sending out a separate communication to you - this registration form is strictly in conjunction with the State FFA Career Development Events.)
Murray-area Hotels
Many advisors often ask for hotels in the Murray area. There are several properties in and around Murray you may want to consider. I hope this helps in your travel planning.
Please take time to complete the Registration Google Form no later than Monday, November 8, 2021. You WILL need to designate student team members' names, so please get them prepped and ready so that they experience success! As always, if you have questions, please reach out!
