Several FFA Alumni and current State FFA Officers spent the past weekend preparing for the next camping season by climbing thirty feet into the air on the ropes challenge course facility at the Kentucky FFA Leadership Training Center.

The Kentucky FFA Leadership Training Center hosted a ropes course training event where attendees had the opportunity to learn how to properly facilitate low and high ropes course elements.  In addition to receiving certification as a ropes course facilitator, attendees had the opportunity to participate in the annual inspection of the course and to perform maintenance on the course.

The ropes course elements are utilized each summer by FFA members from across the state.  Campers have the opportunity to learn about trust and teambuilding through the experiential education offered by the low ropes course facilitated by a certified staff member.

The Kentucky FFA Leadership Training Center also offers opportunities for FFA chapters or other organizations to take advantage of the high ropes challenge course throughout the year. For more information about this opportunity, contact the Kentucky FFA Leadership Training Center at 1.270.756.2301.

The training course was facilitated by Mike Barker of Adventure Mas!.
