Career Readiness

The chart below outlines the college and career readiness accountability model as approved at the August 3, 2011 KBE meeting.  This accountability model will be used for 2012-13 reporting cycle of school accountability.  For CCR accountability, a student may be reported as college ready, career ready, or college and career ready.  If a student is reported as college and career ready, the school will receive a .5 bonus for that student in the accountability calculation.

The current list of KOSSA and valid industry certifications by program can be found at the following link.  The industry certification list is updated as new certifications are adopted by the Office of Career and Technical Education and the College and Career Readiness Branch.

KOSSA and Industry Certifications- 2011-2012

College and Career Readiness and technical skill attainment for Perkins accountability is reported on seniors only.  Students who earn a KOSSA certificate or valid industry certifications prior to the senior year will be reported for the measures during their senior year.  The certifications carry forward with the student.
